Fibromyalgia and Hashimoto’s
Written by Dr Alexis Robic · Studio Inné, Marseille

When the body cries out… but we no longer listen
A fatigue that no amount of rest relieves.
A pain that no one sees. A body that becomes heavy, foggy, unpredictable. And one sentence that keeps coming back:
“I was told everything was fine. But I know this isn’t normal.”
At Inné, we regularly welcome women diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, fibromyalgia or hypothyroidism, or still searching for a diagnosis, with no name for what they are going through.
What we see are not sick bodies.
They are bodies that are overwhelmed, saturated, hyperconnected, out of alignment with their original nature.
Fibromyalgia and Hashimoto’s: what is really going on?
Two labels. One shared root: a deeply dysregulated nervous system, and an immune system that no longer feels at home.
What if these conditions were the symptom of a deeper misalignment?
“Why am I always tired despite treatment?”
“Why do I hurt all over with no clear explanation?”
“How can I get my energy back despite Hashimoto’s or fibromyalgia?”
These diseases are often multifactorial. But they have in common:
• an overloaded nervous system (constant survival mode),
• disrupted digestion (intestinal permeability, dysbiosis),
• unrecognised emotional hypersensitivity,
• a heavy transgenerational load,
• a lack of inner safety,
• deep energetic interference.
What science says
1. Fibromyalgia and nervous system hypersensitivity
“Central Sensitization: Implications for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pain”Woolf CJ, Pain, 2011
Fibromyalgia is linked to central sensitisation: the brain amplifies pain signals because of a loss of nervous regulation.
2. Hashimoto’s and intestinal permeability
“The role of intestinal barrier dysfunction in autoimmune thyroid diseases”Fasano A, Frontiers in Endocrinology, 2015
A damaged intestinal wall allows abnormal proteins to pass into the blood, stimulating a self-attacking immune response, notably against the thyroid.
3. The link between trauma, chronic stress and autoimmune disease
“Childhood trauma and the risk of autoimmune disease”Dube SR et al., Psychosomatic Medicine, 2009
Early trauma increases the risk of developing an autoimmune disease in adulthood by 50%.
4. The link between the thyroid, energy and the nervous system
“Thyroid hormones and the central nervous system: actions, development, and clinical implications”Bernal J, Nature Reviews Endocrinology, 2007
Thyroid hormones directly regulate brain activity, memory, mood and vital energy.

You did not imagine your pain.
You did not exaggerate your fatigue.
You do not have to “live with it”.
What you need is to find your original frequency again, the one that regulates, illuminates and flows.
And at Inné, we walk this path with you, not against the illness,
but in favour of what your body wants to restore.
This text describes what we observe at the studio. Every terrain is unique: a personalised reading always begins with a first consultation.
