Fertility treatment, the journey to motherhood
Written by Dr Alexis Robic · Studio Inné, Marseille

- What if it wasn’t a failure… but a call from the body to be listened to differently?
- Why am I not getting pregnant despite good fertility test results?
- My cycle is regular. My blood tests are normal. I’ve been told I’m perfectly healthy. I’ve followed every protocol… And yet, it isn’t happening.
At Inné, every week we welcome women who are strong, determined, well informed. But tired inside, emotionally drained, out of step with their own deep rhythm.
They have “done everything right”. And it is precisely this doing everything right that sometimes leads them to lose sight of themselves.
What fertility treatment takes care of… and what it leaves aside
Reproductive medicine works with precision:
- ovarian stimulation,
- egg retrieval and egg quality,
- hormonal synchronisation,
- embryo implantation.
But it doesn’t take into account:
- the suppleness of the pelvic fascia,
- the state of the autonomic nervous system,
- emotional or transgenerational tensions,
- the balance of daily life (stress, diet, pace of work),
- the alignment within the couple.
And yet all these factors directly influence fertility, even in the absence of any pathology.
The body is ready… but not yet fully open
Here is what we regularly observe in women going through fertility treatment or facing “unexplained infertility”:
These blocks show up neither on an MRI nor in a blood test. But they influence the terrain, the body’s receptivity, its capacity to welcome not only the embryo, but life.
What science confirms
1. Chronic stress disrupts ovulatory cycles
“Stress-induced disruption of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis” Rivier & Rivest, Journal of Endocrinology, 1991
Chronic stress interferes with the production of GnRH, a key fertility hormone.
2. The vagus nerve and receptivity to pregnancy
“The Polyvagal Theory” – Stephen Porges, 2011
A nervous system that stays in “alert” mode prevents the body from switching to “receiving” mode. And implantation needs safety and relaxation.
3. The forgotten role of the pelvic fascia
“The fascial system and exercise intolerance in patients with chronic diseases” Bordoni & Zanier, 2013
The uterine fascia acts as a communication network between the organs, the nerves, the blood and information. Rigid fascia can impair implantation.
4. Family trauma can influence fertility
“Transgenerational transmission of trauma: Epigenetic mechanisms and implications for health” Yehuda et al., American Journal of Psychiatry, 2014
Unprocessed emotional experience in the family tree can leave a hormonal, nervous and behavioural imprint on the generations that follow.
What if it wasn’t about eggs, but about truth?
“Why won’t my body accept a pregnancy?”
“Why does implantation fail every time?”
“What can I do about unexplained infertility?”
These questions don’t always call for a technical answer.
They often call for an inner reconciliation:
- with your story,
- with your rhythm,
- with your femininity,
- with your relationship,
- with your calling as a mother.
The couple’s agreement, an underestimated pillar
Some women carry the wish for a child alone. Others sense a subtle reluctance in their partner: a “yes” on the surface, but a body or an energy that says “not yet”.
And this creates an invisible friction. A field of welcome under tension.
Sometimes he is the one who avoids the conversations. Or she doesn’t dare admit that she has doubts. Or it is a couple who, without realising it, link the arrival of a child with repairing something broken.
A patient once told us: “He told me he wanted a child… but he never touched my belly.” Another: “I realised I was carrying this wish for the two of us, without ever really asking him whether he was ready.”
At Inné, we open up these spaces to talk. We support what goes unsaid, the “not yet”, the “I want to but I’m afraid”. Because becoming a mother is not a medical act. It is a shared vibration, a field that must resonate between two people, a YES that flows through the whole couple, not just on paper.

What if it all began… on the plate, too?
The uterus is an organ that is extremely sensitive to inflammation. And an unbalanced diet, even a mildly unbalanced one, can:
- disrupt the microbiota (a direct link with oestrogen),
- increase intestinal permeability,
- overload the liver,
- impair the quality of cervical mucus.
That is why, at Inné, we always include a phase of dietary rebalancing: not a “diet” in the restrictive sense of the word, but cellular, vibrational and regenerative, designed to reduce low-grade inflammation, support the liver, nourish the nervous system, rebalance the pH of the gut and vaginal flora, and prepare a living, fertile terrain.
What we do at Inné: natural support for fertility treatment
We work on every layer of the living being, not just the energetic one. Genuine natural, targeted support for your fertility treatment journey.
Our sessions combine:
Body
- Deep fascial treatment of the pelvis and diaphragm
- Rebalancing the autonomic nervous system (vagus nerve, parasympathetic)
- Gentle osteo-tissue work on the uterine and pelvic area
Emotion & History
- Transgenerational release (family memories, unconscious loyalties)
- Work on fears, grief, past miscarriages
- Couple sessions to clarify the intention and the space of welcome
Lifestyle
- Individual anti-inflammatory dietary review
- Rebalancing your rhythm (sleep, rest, exposure to natural light)
- Support remotely or in person, as needed
And above all, we teach the body to feel safe. Because life can’t be scheduled. It settles in when the body says: yes.

You haven’t failed. You haven’t done anything wrong.
Perhaps you are simply at a turning point.
The point where the body no longer wants to “achieve a pregnancy”,
but to experience a true welcome, without tension, without fear, without performance.
And that is the path we walk together, at Inné.
With respect. With gentleness. With faith in the intelligence of life.
This text describes what we observe at the studio. Every terrain is unique: a personalised reading always begins with a first consultation.
